Fees & Guidelines

All Host schools pay the same fee structure.  Schools that are not in the Metro Athletic Directors Officials Fees Committee (MADOFC*) conference must also pay mileage in addition to the officiating fee.

Per the MADOFC, any non-weather related cancellations day of the game must still pay the full game fee to officials. Examples may include school scheduling errors, not having enough athletes for competition/team drops, etc.

2026-2027 Officiating Fees

Officiating fees are based on the total number of routines performed at the entire competition, not the number of teams registered.

Please note that Exhibition routines are included in the total number of routines if the officials are sitting through them. and they are a barrier to the competition moving forward. Example scenarios may include but are not limited to:

Included in the number of routines:

  • Exhibition routines are performed in the middle of the performance order, while officials are in the stands and not on a break

  • Exhibition routines are performed while officials are switching sides but continue on after the officials are ready to go

  • Exhibition routines are performed before the competition begins, but after the judges have been brought out to the stands and the National Anthem has taken place

NOT included in the number of routines:

  • Exhibition routines are performed while the officials are on break

  • Exhibition routines are performed while officials are switching sides, and the routines are done by the time the officials are ready to go

  • Exhibition routines are performed before the competition begins, before the officials come out to the stands

  • Exhibition routines are performed after the last competitive performance has concluded

Exhibition routines also cannot delay the awards presentation, which is typically 30 minutes after the last competitive routine ends. This is because our tabulators and Superior Judges are required to stay on site to ensure proper delivery of results after awards.

Mileage Fees

Mileage fees are based on round-trip mileage and are paid to the driver only.  Mileage rate, as applicable to Section Region, remains the same as during the regular season.

The JAM Scheduling Team will work with you to keep your officiating fees as low as possible by encouraging carpooling and assigning the closest available officials to your meet.
